Thank you ML Club!

“What I cannot create, I do not understand”

— Richard Feynman.

This post is long overdue, but better late than never!

As I graduate high school and move on to college, I wanted to take a moment to wrap up this chapter of my ML journey.

(For first-time visitors: I founded a Machine Learning Club at my high school, where I taught weekly lectures to over 60 students. This blog became the home for that content.)

The ML Club was born out of a simple belief: the best way to learn is to teach. When you challenge yourself not just to understand a concept, but to explain it clearly to others, you gain a much deeper appreciation for the subject. Thanks to the club—and to its members, whose unwavering enthusiasm I am so grateful for—I grew from being merely curious about ML to wanting to dedicate my future to it. Without the club, I wouldn’t have the same passion and appreciation for the field that I carry today.

Experience in ML Club opened up so many other opportunities. I had the wonderful opportunity to teach (along with some amazing coaches) these AI lectures to the NorthSouth Foundation Learning Journey Program, reaching over 120 students and raised funds for 50 college scholarships in India.

All of the ML Club videos are now all compiled in chronological order in the Videos tab on the sidebar.

I also had the chance to share AI concepts with other organizations—speaking at Ciencia En Tus Manos, an initiative based in Puerto Rico, and presenting twice with my Spanish teacher at the Maryland Foreign Language Association Conference. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of my fellow ML Club members. And of course, a heartfelt thank you to my CS teachers, Mr. Estep and Mr. Khetarpal, for their guidance and encouragement as club sponsors and mentors.

ML Club isn’t going away—it’s being continued by three amazing captains this upcoming year, and I have full confidence that it will be awesome!

What’s Next?

Looking ahead, I hope to share more posts on this blog—especially interactive articles like my perceptron visualization and Indian Carnatic Music exploration. Creating these has been especially rewarding, as they take full advantage of the web as a medium for learning.

I also plan to keep teaching ML in new ways, including posting videos here on the blog. The details are still in the works, but stay tuned—there’s much more ML content to come, and I can’t wait to keep learning by teaching.

Onward!
